Hoping everybody’s been having a wonderful new year so far! We’re on the last day of January now, so if you made some resolutions back in December that you really wanted to stick to (I know I did!) and have already fallen off the bandwagon (yet again – I know I have!) this is your friendly reminder to “reset” and hop back on! Never too late to try achieving those goals once again!
It’s a shame, but I find I have a lot less time on my hands than back when I first started the KittyClysm blog over a year ago. Maybe part of it is because I’ve decided to invest a lot more time on each post I write, to make whatever I put out the best I can make it. Another part of it is probably because I’ve been posting a lot more frequently as well. Either way, the time constraint has changed the way I find new pet bloggers to follow completely.
When I first started doing the Supawstars Spotlight Award, I was in the habit of searching for pawesome pet bloggers to follow regularly, then at the end of the month, I simply put together a few of my newly found favourites of the month when I gave the award away. Having less time means that more and more, I’ve slowly gotten into the habit of using the Supawstars Spotlight Award as my excuse for searching out and finding new amazing blogs once at the end of the month. Not my favourite way to do things, as I’d much rather find new, interesting blogs to follow continuously, but my guess is that time constraints won’t let up and will only ever get worse (isn’t that what happens to everyone?) and so I’m content that at least my giving away this award once a month is an incentive for me to actually dedicate enough time to search out and find new, wonderful pet bloggers.
So yes, pretty well all of the following pet bloggers are ones I dug and found as recently as today. Doesn’t make them any less deserving, just makes me a huge slacker when it comes to having sought them out!
What is the Supawstars Spotlight Award? It’s a shout out for pet bloggers give away to 5 other pet bloggers they really appreciate in the community. Interested in learning more about it or giving it away yourself? Click here for more information!

Now let’s get into this!
5 Pet Bloggers I Think Are Doing a Pawesome Job!
1. Adventures in Cat Fostering
I had to list Adventures in Cat Fostering first because reading through a few of the most recent posts on this blog was enough to make me completely fall in love with oh-so-many cats! I pretty much wish I was still in Toronto so I could snatch up a few of these spectacular felines – especially Fudge and Mickey who sound to me like the most endearing duo to have ever come together after having met in a foster home.
The adorableness is so cute it hurts with a lot of the little update posts on this blog, like this one where the foster kitties are all getting along, hanging out, literally, in a cat tree together. Or this one where two beautiful female kittens, Delta and Gamma are snuggled up cozy in so many different spots around the house.
I am stoked to have discovered this blog. This blog simultaneously makes me want to foster and makes me not want to foster cats – the prior because, I mean, so many amazing kitties to come through and be in your life for a little while sounds wonderful, and the latter because, well honestly I can’t say I’d find it easy to let any cats go on to other households!
2. LaPerm Cats
The photos published on this blog are absolutely stunning. And obviously, so are the cats.
I actually didn’t realize the LaPerm breed of cats existed! I don’t recall ever seeing such adorable curly hair on a cat before – only ever on dogs!
Love the fact that this blog not only introduced me to the stunning breed, but also so easily pulls me in and makes me want to click through pages and pages more. Makes for the perfect spot on the net to cozy up to, a hot cup of coffee in hand, for hours and hours of happiness. It’s like an online coffee table book or a perfectly curated Tumblr page, with the best theme possible of course – gorgeous cats!
Needless to say, love browsing this site, and could not be more delighted that I found it!
3. The Poupounette
Speaking of gorgeous cats, The Poupounette features one of the most stunning lovelies I’ve ever laid eyes on, the vixen of an Abyssinian, Tama-Chan! Yes, I am pretty easily infatuated with adorable looking kitties, but honestly, folks, Tama is such a stone cold fox.
One of my favourite recent posts on The Poupounette blog: this amazing recollection of Sei-Chan’s life from when she was a wee kitten to present day. Probably the most beautiful birthday posts I’ve laid eyes on, full of ever so many wonderful stories and growing-up series of pictures.
It’s not hard at all to see why this blog deserves an enormous shout out. Try taking a browse around and it’s a guarantee you’ll fall in love with all the amazing pets in this lovely family!
4. Cupcake Speaks
Cupcake Speaks is a blog about a clever little rescued shelter dog named – Cupcake of course! Though apparently, Cupcake’s got a lot of nicknames besides, “Some of them are “WhatInTheWorld,” “DoYouWantASpankin?” “Naughty,” and “Stubborn.” Reminds me a lot of that television show about a dog named What-a-Mess, one I used to watch religiously as a kid!
Absolutely love just how humorous each and every post is! Personality ebbs out of every character – with so many wonderful one-liners it’s hard not to be addicted. Another favourite (nearly) one-liner comes from this post here, “Sometimes the shiny floor is covered with so much dog hair Mom says it looks like a rug. Is that bad? Rugs are nice…” I mean… could you have captured pet ownership any more perfectly? 😉
Entertaining as hell!
5. Saving Sammie
Saving Sammie is another one of those blogs I just absolutely love the photography of. Every single post feels like an advertisement for becoming a pet parent – I don’t know how anyone could go through even the first few posts on this blog and not feel like newly adopting a dog or cat tomorrow.
I mean seriously, look at this cuddle, or this one, or this adorable face! Explain how you wouldn’t want this kind of fun in your life, or this level of hilarity! Impossible! I feel like I’m listing nearly every recent post at this point but honestly, how could I not? Ever so heartwarming and makes me just so happy to have even just one pet around (though really and truly makes me feel like I need a dog to live with us and Avery!).
