Hope everybody had a very merry Christmas and here’s to a happy new year! 🙂 I’m sure most of you still are on holiday break – make the most of what’s left of it and don’t forget to give some extra snuggles to your furries!
A couple days late giving away the December 2017 Supawstars Pet Blogger Award, but I’ll be honest, I was too distracted by the holidays to get the award out in time! All the better because now that we’re past New Years, crossing fingers that will mean more people are online to take a peek at this post and the amazing blogs I have to show off!
What is the Supawstars Spotlight Award? It’s a shout out for pet bloggers give away to 5 other pet bloggers they really appreciate in the community. Interested in learning more about it or giving it away yourself? Click here for more information!

5 Pet Bloggers I Think Are Doing a Pawesome Job!
1. William of Mass Destruction
William of Mass Destruction recently hit a whopping 13 year blogoversary just before Christmas! That is an absolutely crazy high number and just way too cool!
If you’re ever in the market for short, sweet, way too adorable, and usually pretty stinkin’ hilarious posts, William of Mass Destruction is where it’s at. Beautiful photography (seriously stunning Wordless Wednesdays!), cats caught in the most adorable poses of life, and in a matter of a few short sentences, a quirky cat thought is flawlessly encapsulated.
A recent favourite? This statement of denial from Izzy over wrecking the Christmas decorations. Too good, I can’t even handle it! Digging through older posts, it’s hard not to fall in love with each and every cat personality on this blog. Though I do seem to have found a favourite in Izzy specifically; I mean this account of mommy’s odd behaviour and similar short thoughts from her are too, too good for words; yup, I’m pretty obsessed with this cat! 😉
2. Sweet Purrfections
Truffle and Brulee from Sweet Purrfections not only have the most perfectly adorable names, they’re also the most perfectly adorable cats, too. Be careful browsing over there – their sugary sweetness might just give you a toothache! 🙂
Some of my favourite posts of theirs? Have to be these crazy cute snaps: the two of them snuggled up together, this melt-worthy perfectly timed photo of a little meow, this wonderfully caught treat appreciating, “Tongue Out Tuesday.” So hard to resist not falling in love with these two furries!
Sweet Purrfections recently finished up a 12 Days of Catmas feature that showcased a different cat product each day. Loved the idea and truly appreciate the thoughts shared, as I find it so helpful learning what other pet parents use and love and which toys kitties would give paws up on! Particularly thought the SleepyPods were awesome looking – think I might try to grab one for Avery!
3. Curlz and Swirlz
Curlz and Swirlz features three super-cute Cornish Rex cats and one gorgeous Sphinx! It’s probably one of the most thoughtful cat blogs I’ve come across! So many posts chalked full of useful pet care related information – really great to see so info like this being circulated around the net!
Each celebration and remembrance post also has a wonderful message behind it: like how important it is to remember the cats who have been waiting for a home in shelters for months upon months, and the positive, true fact that senior cats can still have plenty of fun and adventures, no matter their age!
Of course there are plenty of light, purely-for-the-cute posts too, my favourites being the lovely photographs shared on Wordless Wednesdays and also the oh-so-comfy-looking shots of Caturday Saturday kitties snoozing in the sun. Can’t get enough of this crew!
4. House Panthers
Yet another wonderful storyteller on the list. The House Panthers blog primarily follows the life of a gorgeous black cat named Julie. Since I like showcasing some of my favourite recently published posts from pet bloggers, I have to mention this absolutely adorable comic-like blog post where Julie’s watching and chatting to Earl, a stinkin’ adorable squirrel outside her window. These pictures came out so perfectly! Even without words, they are a story in themselves!
If I’m completely honest, my favourite posts on this blog have to be ones of Julie with her big brother JJ. I can’t get over how these two cats sit and sleep together in so many pictures – often not touching, but basically perfectly mirroring one another. Check this one out, where the two cats are sitting looking almost exactly in the same position yet spread apart. And then this one (get ready to melt by the way!), where they’re both sleeping on their side with their arms tucked in – I can’t even handle these two in pictures, I think I’d die of happiness if I saw this in person.
Then there are pictures of Julie and JJ actually snuggling together… it’s too much cute, I can’t handle it, haha. I needed a snuggle buddy for Avery to do this with like yesterday.
5. Tomcat Commentary by Tim
The Tomcat Commentary by Tim crew is full of so many kewl kats, it’d be impossible not to love the stories that result! From crazy adventures cat fishing, to amazing Gotcha day parties, posts on this blog are a hoot!
Recently, the family has been unlucky, as one of the kitties has been dealing with some health problems. Sadly, Mr. Buttons has been throwing up anything that enters his stomach – and so had a visit to the vet just yesterday. Not a nice way to start the New Year, that’s for certain. 🙁
Of course our thoughts and purrs are with not only Mr. Buttons but the rest of the family – it’s never nice having an unwell member of the family. Crossing fingers that Mr. Buttons is better very soon, and that no other kitty gets sick this year. No better Mew Year wish-come-true than that everybody in the family stays happy and healthy.
Please send positive thoughts, prayers, and comments their way!
