Well, it’s that time of year again, where we all rush to the store or (for those who despise going shopping in-person like me) rush online to check for any and every item we’ve been wanting for the past month or so to see if it’s miraculously gone on a ridiculously affordable sale thanks to the magic of Black Friday.
Is there any way you can lose if you’re buying pet products you would’ve purchased anyway on a day like today? In my opinion no. In fact, your only regret may be buying something earlier in the month that happened to find its way to the sale section today.
I’m going to be taking a look at the cat specific deals on a few different websites: Amazon, PetSmart, Petco, and for those who are in the UK like me – Zooplus.co.uk as well.
Amazon Cat Product Black Friday 2017 Deals
Honestly, I was really hoping for more products to feature from Amazon, but the way I see it, there are basically only two things worth getting for cats from the Black Friday Deals section:
Yup, a sorry state of affairs. If you can find some other worthwhile deals for cat owners on Amazon (here’s the link to the pet section so you don’t have to go digging for it), do let me know so I can add it to this sad little list.
PetSmart Cat Pet Supply Black Friday 2017 Sales
Moving on to greener pastures – we have some (understatement of the year) PetSmart sales!
Their Black Friday Sales Page is utter madness; they just have so much discounted! Don’t believe me, check it out yourself: 5,801 sale items listed – 1,220 deals in the cat section alone!!
I’m always one for stocking up on staples like cat litter and cat food, if of course I can find the one I use on sale. I’m never really one for changing up what I’m using just to take advantage of a discount – unless of course I’ve been meaning to try something specific and that goes on sale.
In terms of non-supply items, they also have plenty of cat toys and cat furniture for sale. So check that out if you’re interested.
Of those, the ones that stand out most (for being a mix of great products & great promotional prices) to me are as follows:
Cat Toys
- KONG Plush Turtle Cat Toy
- Trixie Mad Scientist Beaker Cat Toy
- KONG Catnip Beaver Cat Toy
- Petlinks Wild Thing™ Motion Cat Toy
- KONG Cat Roller Treat Dispenser Cat Toy
- OurPets 24 Karat Cat Toy
Cat Furniture
- Trixie Wooden Outdoor Cat Run
- K&H Manufacturing Outdoor Heated Cat House
- Armarkat Cat Tree
- PetPals Ace Cat Tree
Think you might grab something at PetSmart? Already visit the store and drove home with a nice haul? Let me know what you purchased in the comments!
Petco Pet Cat Supply Black Friday 2017 Discounts
And now off to the second pet store I’d hit up for Black Friday 2017 Deals for cat supplies (if only I lived in the States!).
Petco I find is a little more difficult to navigate in terms of their Black Friday Sales Page than PetSmart is. Regardless, they do have some great deals going on, and it’s worth the look.
Notable sales/discounts include:
- Cat toys on sale (of course)! Up to 60% off.
- Up to 60% off cat furniture.
- The cat food they have on sale – especially if you didn’t happen to find your particular brand on discount at Petsmart.
- These cat beds and pillows – some of which are too cute for words!
- Furminators at up to 50% off.
- And dog clothes/ pet apparel for those of you who like to dress up your cats in sweaters or costumes!
Plenty to look through, so don’t worry if you didn’t find what you were looking for at PetSmart’s site.
Live In the UK? Check Out Zooplus.co.uk Deals
Unfortunately for me, living in the UK means I usually can’t take part in all the crazy deals you Americans have. Looking on the bright side, however, your crazy American deals are becoming contagious and more and more we’re seeing UK and European retailers embracing the madness of shopping holidays like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. So yes, we definitely have a lot to thank you for!
This year, I’ll be doing some digging on Zooplus.co.uk for pet deals, and I suggest any pet parent living in the UK should do the same if they’re into this kind of deal hunting! Zooplus.co.uk’s Black Friday 2017 Page is full of actually genuinely good deals.
The black ModKat Litter Box is on sale for just £69.99, for instance. I bought mine for £100! Still don’t regret buying it when I did, as I’ve had over a year of good use, but I love this litter box so much that if I were in a house I would definitely be snapping up a second at this point (and adopting a second cat, too, let’s be honest). In the meantime, I may just use these deals as an opportunity to stock up on cat toys & accessories to review!

We noticed that Black Friday is becoming a thing in the UK too, only in the last couple of years has it really taken hold. Though we don’t purrticipate in the madness, that’s what internet shopping is fur and having effurything delivered! MOL
Great list, we are going to check some of the toys out now, thanks so much fur sharing!

Glad it’s not just me who noticed it! I do like the fact that it’s come over because of the online sales. Wouldn’t catch me going to a physical store on Black Friday – not for anything! I’ll be honest, since moving to the UK, I buy nearly everything online anyway. Amazon is so quick (in Canada, deliveries took up to a week or two!) and eBay here is the best I’ve ever seen – always so many incredible used items to rummage through!
Thanks for stopping by! xo

I did not know that Black Friday and Cyber Monday were migrating across the ocean to the UK. I do not know if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but if you like crazy, then it is a good thing!

It looks to me like it’s been a thing in the UK this year. Didn’t notice so many last year, but this year I noticed a bunch of clothing retailers and pet suppliers had them. I guess they’re trying to compete with Amazon.

thanks for this great list! I have a repeat delivery every month with Petco and I tried adding my Secret Paws stuff on it but I don’t think it took. Ugh. Will probably go to Petco either tomorrow or Monday instead of today 🙁

Hope you had some luck going either yesterday or this morning! I hate it when things that are supposed to work don’t like that! No fun at all!
