12 Cat Body Parts That Are Irresistibly Adorable!

We all know cats are adorable from head to toe, but it’s nice to fawn over little bits and pieces of their overall cuteness every once in a while, too.

Every so often, I’ll obsess over something charming Avery’s done, an endearing little noise he’s made, or a even a small feature in the way that he looks. This article is of course dedicated to that last form of infatuation. 12 Super Cute Cat Body Parts

1. Those doll-like little button noses!
   Have you ever taken a close look at a kitty’s nose? Cats noses always have a little line down the middle of them, faded at the top then getting stronger and connecting down to their perfectly formed…
2. Adorable rounded triangle mouths.
   That cat mouth shape that looks almost like the number 3 pushed over on its side is just too, too sweet! Together with their triangle noses – heck it’d be impossible not to know which animal’s nose + mouth you were drawing out if you scribbled these onto a page for Pictionary!
3. The hair tufts inside their ears.
   It may be unsightly for humans to have hair growing out of their ears, but that’s definitely not true of cats 😉
4. Those facial whiskers that make up a cat’s “eyebrows.”
   I’ve spoken about cat whiskers and how they’re not just on a cat’s upper lip before. Truth be told, while cat whiskers are crazy kawaii, my favourite whiskers are probably the ones that essentially make up a cat’s “eyebrows.” My favourite is when a little black or black and white cat’s got the whitest whiskers of life on his eyebrows – gets me every time! 5. Their floofy tails.
   Does an explanation for why cat tails are cute really need to be stated?
6. The pupils in a cat’s eye; especially when they dilate in dim light. <3
   As if cats weren’t enchanting enough during the day, when night time rolls around and their pupils get incredibly large to let some extra light in – !! That adorable “look” is captured exactly right by the Shrek character, Puss in Boots.
7. Their jelly bean paws…
   Avery was a stray cat in our neighbourhood that Thomas and I rescued, and when we first took him in, I remember his paws were really hard and calloused. Didn’t stop me from trying to pet them! Now, Avery’s paws are as soft as the paws of every other indoor cat I’ve met, and over the years he’s gotten used to my obsession with them. Even lets me hold his hand for a minute or two; what a kind kitty!!
8. Their whisker holes.
   I mean, could these little “dots” on their faces be any more adorable? I find it hard not to notice them, and even go out of my way to pet Avery’s every once in a while because, well how could I resist?
9. The ridges along the outside of their ears.
   You may not pay attention to a cat’s ears much if you’ve never had a cat or interacted with one in person, but if you’ve got a cat or two at home, you’ll know full well how strange the little folds are on the outside of their ears. I know this might be a weird thing to find endearing, but I think it is!
10. The dark bits around many cats’ eyes that essentially look like eyeliner.
    Pretty sure the Ancient Egyptians stole their eye makeup inspiration from cats. To be fair, why wouldn’t they, cats’ natural “eye make-up” totally slays. How the heck cats evolved to be so darn photogenic I’ll never know, but it sure does help make sense of the fact that they were worshipped by so many humans years and years ago.
11. Their lil’ cat teeth.
    Especially when their two little “fangs” (upper canines) peek out just slightly… <3 And finally…
12. Their oh so soft bellies.
    I mean come on. To be allowed to see or stroke one of these is the highest compliment a cat could give; how could this body part not be on the list? 😉
